ADMISSIONS 

1. What makes Southeastern Preparatory Academy different from other private schools?

Our smaller class sizes allow for individualized support, helping each student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We focus on preparing students for success in college, career, and life.

  • Sports-specific fees, travel, or equipment 
  • International student fees (SEVIS / I-20 related fees, if applicable)

3. Do you accept Step Up for Students?

Yes. SEPA proudly accepts Step Up For Students scholarships. Eligible families may use scholarship funds toward tuition and approved educational expenses. Our team is happy to assist families throughout the scholarship and enrollment process.

5. Do you offer flexible scheduling for athletes?

Yes. SEPA understands the unique demands of student athletes. We offer a scheduling option that allows students to maintain strong academic progress while pursuing athletic training, competitions, and development opportunities. Our goal is to help students excel both in the classroom and in their sports.

6. Do you accept international students and issue I-20s?

Yes. SEPA is authorized to enroll international students on F-1 visas and issue Form I-20. We provide academic support and guidance to help international students transition successfully into our school community while maintaining immigration compliance.

ACADEMICS

1. How many credits do you need to graduate from?

Southeastern Prep follows the NCAA credit requirements. This requires students to have 16 credits.

4 years of English

3 years of Math (Algebra 1 or higher)

2 years of science (including one year of lab)

Additional year of English, math, or science

2 years of social science

4 years of any of the above, world language, or nondoctrinal religion/philosophy

Complete 10 of your 16 core-course credits, including seven in English, math or science, before the start of the seventh semester. Once you begin your seventh semester, any course that is needed to meet the 10/7 requirement cannot be replaced or repeated.

Complete your 16 NCAA-approved core-course credits in eight academic semesters or four consecutive academic years from the start of ninth grade. If you graduate from high school early, you still must meet core-course requirements.

2. Does SEPA offer learning accommodations/ How do you support struggling students?

We believe every student can succeed with the right support. SEPA provides:

  • Individualized academic support

  • Progress monitoring 
  • Parent communication and collaboration 
  • Learning accommodations when appropriate 

Our team works closely with families to create a plan that helps each student grow and succeed.

3. What is your student-to-teacher ratio?

SEPA maintains a low student-to-teacher ratio to ensure students receive personalized attention and meaningful support. Smaller class sizes allow teachers to better meet individual learning needs and build strong relationships with students.

4. Do you offer AP, honors, or dual enrollment?

Yes. SEPA offers advanced academic opportunities, including Honors courses, Advanced Placement (AP), and Dual Enrollment options, depending on grade level and eligibility. These programs allow students to challenge themselves academically and earn college credit while in high school.

5. What is the dress code?

Students are required to wear a SEPA school uniform while on campus and follow the dress code according to the following guidelines. 

Mondays- Professional Dress Day

  • Girls- Navy or Black Blazer, white button-down shirt, black, navy, gray, or brown dress slacks or skirt. Skirts should be knee length and cannot fall more than 2 inches above the knee. Skirts can be pleated or pencil skirt style. Closed-toe, flat dress shoes or clean sneakers may be worn. Shirts must be tucked in and pressed.
  • Boys- Navy or Black Blazer, White Button-down shirt, red, black or navy tie, black or navy dress slacks. Closed-toed dress shoes or clean sneakers may be worn. Shirts must be tucked in and pressed

Tuesday- Thursday: SEPA Uniforms required

  • Girls- SEPA polo. Black, navy, khaki, or gray shorts, dress pants, or skirts may be worn. Skirts and shorts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Bicycle shorts may not be worn during class hours. No open toed shoes, slides, sandals or flip flops, slippers, house shoes, or stiletto type heels are allowed.
  • Boys- SEPA polo. Black, navy, khaki, or gray shorts, dress pants. Shorts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Bicycle shorts may not be worn. No slides, open toed shoes, sandals, slippers, or house shoes are allowed.

Friday: Dress down day

  • Students may wear SEPA spirit wear or school-appropriate dress-down attire. Jeans are permitted.

6. How do I apply?

Applying to SEPA is simple:

  1. Submit an inquiry or contact our Admissions Office
  2. Complete the application and submit required academic and supporting documents 
  3. Participate in an admissions meeting or assessment if needed
  4. Finalize enrollment and tuition arrangements

ATHLETICS

1. Are student athletes requiredto have a physical?

Yes. Sports physicals are required and must be updated each year.

2. What sports do you offer?

Southeastern Prep offers boys and girls basketball, baseball, volleyball and soccer training

TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

1. Will there be transportation provided?

Transportation will NOT be provided for 2026-2027

NUTRITIONAL SERVICES

1. How will lunch be served?

Students always have the option to bring their own lunch. However, for an additional fee, lunch will be catered for. Students will be eating on campus.

GENESIS SPORTSPLEX MEMBERSHIP

1. Are students allowed in the public gym area during school hours?

Students must be with a staff member to be anywhere in the public gym space during school hours, with a 6:1 ratio.

2. What does having a Genesis Sportsplex gym membership let students do?

Students who have a gym membership will be allowed including after school and weekends. 

They can use any of the amenities that members can use.

Students must always be mindful and respectful of the members and Genesis staff.
