The SEPA 2026-2027 Dress Code outlines expectations for all students. Students must wear SEPA uniforms Tuesday through Thursday, with professional dress required on Mondays for Upper School grades.
STUDENT APPEARANCE & DRESS CODE
Students are required to wear a SEPA school uniform while on campus and follow the dress code according to the following guidelines.
Mondays- Professional Dress Day
- Girls- Navy or Black Blazer, white button-down shirt, black, navy, gray, or brown dress slacks or skirt. Skirts should be knee length and cannot fall more than 2 inches above the knee. Skirts can be pleated or pencil skirt style. Closed-toe, flat dress shoes or clean sneakers may be worn. Shirts must be tucked in and pressed.
- Boys- Navy or Black Blazer, White Button-down shirt, red, black or navy tie, black or navy dress slacks. Closed-toed dress shoes or clean sneakers may be worn. Shirts must be tucked in and pressed
Tuesday- Thursday: SEPA Uniforms required
- Girls- SEPA polo. Black, navy, khaki, or gray shorts, dress pants, or skirts may be worn. Skirts and shorts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Bicycle shorts may not be worn during class hours. No open toed shoes, slides, sandals or flip flops, slippers, house shoes, or stiletto type heels are allowed.
- Boys- SEPA polo. Black, navy, khaki, or gray shorts, dress pants. Shorts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee. Bicycle shorts may not be worn. No slides, open toed shoes, sandals, slippers, or house shoes are allowed.
Friday: Dress down day
- Students may wear SEPA spirit wear or school-appropriate dress-down attire. Jeans are permitted.
IMPORTANT: Students not in compliance with the dress code will receive an initial warning; the infraction will be documented, and the parents will be notified. School administrators have the final authority to decide if their clothing complies with school rules. Multiple student infractions will result in disciplinary action.
Prohibited Attire
- Students are not allowed to wear clothing, jewelry (including body piercing jewelry and “grills”), buttons, haircuts, tattoos, makeup, or other attire or markings, which are offensive, suggestive, disruptive, or indecent such as
- Clothing associated with gangs.
- Clothing encouraging the use of drugs, alcohol, or violence.
- Clothing associated with discrimination based on age, color, disability, national origin, sexual orientations, marital status, race, religion, or sex.
- Clothing exposing the torso or upper thighs such as see-through garments, mini-skirts or minidresses, halters, backless dresses, tube tops or tank tops without over shirts, spaghetti strap garments without over shirts, bare midriff outfits, or shirts or blouses tied at the midriff.
- Clothing not properly fastened or with tears.
- Clothing or outer garments traditionally designed as undergarments such as boxer shorts, bloomers, tights, hosiery, or sleepwear.
Other Considerations
- Coaches determine game/practice dress
- Court shoes required in gym
- Personal hygiene emphasized due to athletic nature of school
- Hoodies must be SEPA-branded; no non-SEPA writing/logos larger than 2 inches
